Built-In

Built-In Bookshelves, that is.  I'm unabashedly obsessed with HGTV - Home & Garden Television for all you non-fans.  It's addictive.  Although I may not be a home owner (or anywhere near it for that matter), I am still allowed to hypothetically plan out even the most minute details in my future non-existent house.  One big take-away from my favorite shows is that I love built-ins.  They give a room depth & lots of storage.  When done well, they're easy on the eyes too.  Here are some favorites via desiretoinspire:

Lang Inspiration

Ever had a period of time where you were completing lacking any and all inspiration?  The past couple of weeks have been just that for me.  Waking up each morning, I've looked at my closet completely at a loss.  This morning, looking at Helmut Lang's new resort collection - I felt that stirring excitement at seeing something that truly inspires.  I love the clean lines, the asymmetrical hems, the monochromatic looks, and the unexpected layering techniques.  Just what I needed to see!!

The Perfect Bedrooms

This post is inspired by my heavy eyeballs. Oh, Monday... you get me every time. This past weekend was a whirlwind of fun at a friend's wedding at Hood Canal outside of Seattle. And now I'd like to retreat to one of these lovely bedrooms. I particularly like the neutral palettes with well-thought-out vignettes and interesting yet subtle pops of color.  Someday I'd love to have a fireplace in my room.
