Found myself thirsty for some good inspiration today - perhaps the bright colors of yesterday's post got the juices flowing, but I feel the need for some major change to come about in the next season in terms of how I dress. I adore thrifting and hunting down vintage treasures, a bit excessively at times... it gets my mind off things. My goal for the coming season is to invest in more feminine silhouettes that are figure-flattering. My winter wardrobe requires so many layers (unnecessary living in California, but I love it) that you get lost in all of the clothing. My secondary goal is to go for quality over quantity. We shall see how it turns out, but enjoy a heavy dose of my inspirations of the day:

bold colors

As much as I love the classic all-black ensemble, I sometimes forget how refreshing it is to see bright, bold colors. It's a breath of fresh air! I love how the bloggers and models incorporate bright colors into their outfits - some major inspiration.

lady-like collars

I love the look of lady-like collars - but always fear of looking way too prim and proper. These looks achieve an edgy look while still incorporating the collar - I love them!

Proenza Pre-Fall '11

Look Ma, no Pants!

No Pants Ride 2011 took place yesterday in several cities around the US. I saw a note from a friend in DC that was hoping for a flash mob - instead, people board the subway, then remove their pants for the ride. In NYC, it ended with a underwear party in Union Square.

black swan

Watched Black Swan the other day... It was INCREDIBLE. Creepy, but incredible.

Natalie Portman has to be the most gorgeous woman ever.
